Privacy Policy
Last updated August 31, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Gini Health ("Gini," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit gini.health, join the waitlist, or reserve a founding membership.
It covers the marketing site and pre-launch signup. It does not yet cover laboratory results or other clinical records from the Gini blood test. When testing is available, those records will be handled under HIPAA, and we will post a Notice of Privacy Practices. Until that notice is in effect, this policy and our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy apply.
Questions: privacy@gini.health or support@gini.health.
Information we collect
You give us
- Waitlist: first name, email, and the optional reasons you select for joining Gini.
- Founding membership: name, email, date of birth, US shipping address, whether you were assigned female at birth, pregnancy and pregnancy-planning answers, optional health concerns, and your agreement to these terms.
- Messages you send to hello@gini.health or support@gini.health.
Collected automatically
- Device and browser information, referral parameters, and pages visited, including through a Meta Pixel that does not receive your email, phone, or health answers.
- Payment status from Stripe when you complete founding checkout.
How we use it
- To run the waitlist and contact you about launch and access.
- To check founding-member eligibility (age 18+, assigned female at birth, not pregnant and not planning pregnancy by our stated launch window), take payment, estimate tax, and ship your kit.
- To prepare your experience and improve the site.
- To prevent fraud and keep records of your purchase and consent.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We share information with vendors who help us operate, only as needed for that work:
- Stripe processes founding-member payment. Stripe receives what it needs to charge you (such as name, email, and amount). We do not send pregnancy answers, assigned-sex answers, or health concerns to Stripe.
- Hosting and infrastructure (including Vercel) store and serve the site and form submissions.
- An internal operations store (currently a restricted spreadsheet) holds founding and waitlist records so we can fulfill memberships.
- Meta may receive a conversion event that a waitlist or founding signup happened, without your contact details or health answers.
We may also share information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or with a successor if Gini is involved in a merger or sale, with this policy still applying.
Health-related answers
Eligibility and optional concern questions can be consumer health data under some state laws. See the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy for collection, sharing, and your rights for that data.
When the blood test is live
Kits, samples, lab results, and related clinical information will be handled as protected health information under HIPAA to the extent HIPAA applies, with a Notice of Privacy Practices posted on this site. Marketing waitlist data stays under this policy unless it is later combined into a clinical record.
Retention
Waitlist and founding records are kept until you ask us to delete them, or until we no longer need them to fulfill membership, tax, and legal duties. Payment records follow Stripe and tax retention rules.
Your choices
Email privacy@gini.health to access, correct, or delete information we hold, or to opt out of marketing email. We may need to verify it is you. We may keep what the law requires (for example, a payment record).
If you are in California, you may also request to know, delete, or correct personal information, and to limit use of sensitive personal information to what is needed to provide the service you asked for. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law. You will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
Security
We use HTTPS and restrict access to founding and waitlist records. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
Gini is for people 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. Material changes to how we use founding or waitlist information will be called out on this page.
